Specifically, NCU was singled out for having been the first online university to have its business school accredited by ACBSP (Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs). NCU Business School a Candidate for Third Accreditation

Prescott Valley, Arizona—October 17, 2008 — Northcentral University (www.ncu.edu), an innovator in 100% online higher education, announced this week that its School of Business and Technology Management has been accepted as a candidate for accreditation by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE). The University’s business team initiated the process by compiling and submitting paperwork relating to the quality and content of NCU’s existing business programs. Northcentral University Introduces Project Management Program

Prescott Valley, Arizona—October 14, 2008 — Northcentral University (www.ncu.edu), an innovator in 100% online higher education, this month inaugurates a specialization in Project Management. The new program is offered at the master’s and doctoral degree levels in the University’s School of Business and Technology Management. Project Management will also be available as a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies (CAGS).

The Project Management specialization was developed in direct response to requests to the University by business professionals seeking career-specific advanced education. Northcentral University Signs a Definitive Agreement to Be Acquired by Rockbridge Growth Equity, LLC

Prescott Valley, AZ - October 06, 2008 – Northcentral University (NCU) an accredited online university and innovator in 100 percent online higher education, announced today that it has signed a definitive agreement to be acquired by Rockbridge Growth Equity, LLC (www.rbequity.com). Rockbridge will partner with Primus Capital (www.primuscapital.com), a Cleveland-based Private Equity Fund with substantial education industry experience, to finance this acquisition. Northcentral University Doctoral Education Student Honored with Third National Award

Prescott Valley, Arizona—September 22, 2008 — Northcentral University (www.ncu.edu), an innovator in online higher education is pleased to recognize the achievement of Terry Morris in winning the MERLOT Award for Exemplary Online Learning Resources. Ms. Morris is pursuing her doctor of education degree at NCU, specializing in eLearning and Online Teaching.

Professor Morris was honored with the 2008 MERLOT Business Classic Award for her multimedia presentation, E-Commerce Business Ethics Case Study. “The case study is presented in a multimedia format,” Morris says, using “Flash movies which describe the company background, scenarios of business ethics issues, and an overview of ethical decision-making.” The case studies, using the hypothetical company E-Kin, were written by graduate students of Dr. Beverly Kracher at Creighton University.” The presentation can be viewed at http://www.merlot.org/. Lambda Eta Named Star Chapter by Delta Mu Delta

Prescott, Arizona – August 18, 2008 — Northcentral University (www.ncu.edu), an innovator in 100% online higher education, today announced that NCU’s Lambda Eta chapter of Delta Mu Delta has been selected for a 2007–2008 Star Chapter Award. The selection was made by International Delta Mu Delta, headquartered in Brookfield, Ill.

Northcentral University was the first online institution recognized with a chapter by Delta Mu Delta, the International business honor society, which actually revised its bylaws in order to do so after being approached by NCU. Northcentral University Announces Reaffirmation of Accreditation with the Higher Learning Commission

June 12, 2008 — Northcentral University announced today that it has received notice from The Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools of the University’s reaffirmation of accreditation. The HLC noted that it has completed its validation process by the Commission’s Board of Trustees on May 28, 2008. Subsequent to HLC visits, the commission asks all member institutions to withhold comments on accreditation status until notified of validation.

Dissertation of the Year Honors Awarded

June 12, 2008 — Northcentral University this week announced honors awarded for Dissertation of the Year. Each of the three academic divisions—School of Business & Technology Management, School of Education, and School of Psychology—conducted its own search for outstanding scholarly work and awarded separate honors. This is the first year NCU has held the competition.

“We are pleased to honor the outstanding work of these scholars,” said Dr. Clinton Gardner, NCU President. “Our doctoral candidates devote countless hours to literature surveys, to designing studies, analyzing results, and finally writing up the work in a manner that presents their scholarship in a lucid and useful fashion to make a substantive contribution to their fields.”       ...
